Account & Data Deletion

1. Open Coffee Run and make sure you are signed in.
2. Go to Profile → Settings → Delete account.
3. Read the summary of what will be removed and confirm.
4. Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out. Deleting the app afterwards also clears progress stored only on your device.

If you cannot access the app or your account, email privacy@coffeerunner.app from the address on the account and we will process the deletion for you.

• Your sign-in credentials and authentication record.
• Your profile: display name, username, bio, home city, avatar.
• Your passport: saved shops, visits, visit counts, first/last visit dates, stamps, badges, ratings and private notes.
• Your public comments and your community photo submissions.
• Your private journal / visit photos.
• Saved drinks and Find My Perfect Drink quiz sessions.
• Blocks you created and reports you filed.
• Every file you uploaded, removed recursively from all of our storage buckets (avatars, pending and public community photos, visit photos).

A narrow set of operational records survives deletion with the link to you removed (anonymised), because deleting them would break moderation integrity or our own audit trail:

• Moderation event history — what action was taken on what content, and why.
• Moderator notes attached to past decisions.
• Administrative audit logs of staff actions.
• Operational logs about our own data imports, photo enrichment and API usage, and shop records created or edited by staff.
• Pseudonymous analytics events already aggregated into daily counts.

These records no longer identify you. We keep them to preserve the integrity of moderation decisions and to detect abuse and ban evasion — a permanently banned account’s enforcement record can be retained so that deleting and re-creating an account does not reset it. Encrypted backups roll off on their normal schedule.

If you signed in with Apple, deleting your Coffee Run account removes your Coffee Run data and authentication record. You can also review or revoke the app’s access on your device under Settings → your name → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple.
