Delete your Coffee Run account

You can request permanent deletion of your Coffee Run account and personal data from this page. You do not need the Coffee Run app.

1. Request deletion

No sign-in and no app needed. Use the email address on your Coffee Run account so we can verify the request.

Prefer email? You can also write to privacy@coffeerunner.app from the address on the account. This page requests deletion; we complete it after verifying the email so nobody can delete someone else’s account.

2. What is deleted

Deletion is permanent. This is not a freeze, pause or deactivation — the account cannot be restored and progress cannot be recovered.

  • Your sign-in credentials and authentication record.
  • Your profile: display name, username, bio, home city, avatar.
  • Your passport: saved shops, visits, visit counts, first/last visit dates, stamps, badges, ratings and private notes.
  • Your public comments and your community photo submissions.
  • Your private journal / visit photos.
  • Saved drinks and Find My Perfect Drink quiz sessions.
  • Blocks you created and reports you filed.
  • Every file you uploaded, removed recursively from all of our storage buckets (avatars, pending and public community photos, visit photos).

3. What is retained, and for how long

  • Immediate: the personal account data listed above is deleted once the request is processed.
  • Encrypted backups: roll off within 90 days.
  • Anonymized moderation events, admin audit logs and operational import logs: retained without your identity for security, fraud prevention and audit integrity, typically up to 24 months unless a legal hold requires longer.
  • Enforcement records for permanently banned accounts may be retained in identity-minimized form so that deleting and recreating an account does not reset a ban.
  • Aggregated analytics already rolled into daily counts are not personal data and are kept.

4. Timing

  • Web request (this page): processed within 30 days after we verify the request.
  • Optional faster path — in the app: if you still have Coffee Run installed and can sign in, go to Profile → Settings → Delete account. That deletes the account immediately and signs you out. Deleting the app afterwards also clears progress stored only on your device.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Consumer accounts have nothing to cancel. If the same email also pays for a Coffee Run shop promotion subscription, cancel that billing separately, or tell us in the note above and we will cancel it when the account is deleted. Billing records required for tax and accounting are kept as required by law.

Sign in with Apple

If you signed in with Apple, deleting your Coffee Run account removes your Coffee Run data and authentication record. You can also review or revoke the app’s access on your device under Settings → your name → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple.
